He Loved Us First
 

He did not wait

For some irrevocable proof

That we could love....

He loved us first.

Sometimes, when I am down,

Feeling unworthy,

I remember that ~

He loved us first!

What worth did He put

On a soul?

On a hundred?

Or just one?

Would He have done it for

Only one?

Only me?

How can I stay down

When I answer that?

God counted me priceless ~

For that's what Jesus is!
